Requirements

 

 3 Men
    aged from mid-twenties to mid-seventies
5 Women
    aged from teens to sixties
PETER
An author of mystery stories: his age could be anywhere from late twenties to early fifties.
MINNA
Used to working on a farm, but fun to be with. Very 'earthy'. About middle age.
LYDIA
Attractive, in her forties, dressed and groomed well. Sophisticated, brittle & caustic but good sense of humour. "She's as beautiful as my money and three face lifts can make her."
KAY KELSEY
The ingenue. Sweet and trusting.
FIONA BABCOCK
Character lady, in her fities or sixties or even older. "She knows everyone else is wrong."
ADDIE
The maid. Very young girl. Pert and vulnerable and always in emotional distress.
DICK STANTON
'The Juvenile' i.e. Kay's love interest. Very hearty, eager and over-pleasant.
JORDAN DILLINGHAM
In his 60's, successful but not always legit - The Lawyer.
COGBURN
The Butler. Proper, quiet, and unemotional.
About The Play
An author is grinding out a murder story in an old mansion where another author was murdered years before. An electrical storm effects a cosmic snafu and his characters come to life. All the stereotypes are here; ingenue, butler, hero, wily lawyer, and the `other' woman. The author loses control of his characters: murder is afoot and he is the intended victim. Can he find the killer before he himself is killed?
