Drinking Alone.
GERRY THOMPSON’s (Director) many accomplishments include;
directing Drinking Alone for Lakeside players earlier this year,
assistant
director for Out of Sight, Out of Murder and co-director for To
Forgive, Divine, both for Kanata Theatre. He has been an assistant stage
manager, and provided set construction and painting for several local theatre
groups. Sound design projects include Kindertransport, The Madwoman of
Chaillot, Aladdin and Over the River and Through the Woods for Kanata
Theatre as well as Private Lives for Lakeside Players. He has also appeared
onstage in the Kanata Theatre productions of You Can’t Take it With You
and The Snow Ball.

GERRY THOMPSON (Doctor Andrews) first appeared on Kanata Theatre stage as the Taxman in You Can’t Take it With You. He appeared as seven different characters in The Snow Ball and as Edgar in Nurse Jane goes to Hawaii. When not on stage, Gerry has directed for both Kanata Theatre and Lakeside Players, designed sound for several plays and helps out with house management. Gerry is extremely excited to be working with director Tom Kobolak and the cast and crew of Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun.

GERRY THOMPSON (Director) is pleased to be directing at Kanata Theatre once again. He directed Drinking Alone by Norm Foster a few years ago. He has also appeared on stage as the doctor in last year’s production of Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun also by Norm Foster. Postmortem is a great play which features an important figure in early 19th century playmaking, William Gillette, and Gerry is proud to be an integral part of this production.

GERRY THOMPSON (Montague, Apothecary) is excited to be acting in his first-ever Shakespeare play. He has appeared on stage in Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun, You Can’t Take it With You and The Snow Ball. Gerry directed Drinking Alone and Postmortem for Kanata Theatre and was assistant director for Kindertransport, Out of Sight… Out of Murder and To Forgive, Divine. Production roles include sound design, construction and set painting for Kanata Theatre and other local community theatre groups.
