From the program for Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun:
DWAYNE AYLWARD (Simon Garvey) is delighted to be making his acting debut on Kanata Theatre’s stage. Although quite passionate about theatre during high school, Dwayne waited 15 years before getting involved with a production. After taking an acting class in 2007, he was recruited by a fellow student to co-produce The Long Weekend at Kanata Theatre. Soon after, he became the Assistant Director on My Old Lady at OLT. Now with his third show, Dwayne couldn’t be happier returning to Kanata!
From Having a Wonderful Time, Wish You Were Her:
DWAYNE AYLWARD (Danny) is thrilled to be working alongside such a “wonderful” cast and crew for his fourth Kanata Theatre production. Dwayne is ecstatic to return to KT, as this is where he first began doing theatre (co-producing The Long Weekend) and first received an acting role in Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun. His other credits include being the Assistant Director on My Old Lady at OLT and, most recently, performing in Enter Screaming at this year’s Ottawa Fringe Festival.
From The Underpants:
DWAYNE AYLWARD (Benjamin Cohen) was last seen on the Kanata Theatre stage earlier this season as the tennis-racket-wielding Danny in William Van Zandt & Jane Milmore’s Having a Wonderful Time, Wish You Were Her. Last season he appeared on the KT stage as the much-despised English professor, Simon, in Norm Foster’s Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun, and in 2007 he co-produced another Foster-penned favourite, The Long Weekend. His other credits include the role of the love-potion-drinking, mashed-potato-eating Eddy in the Punchbag Playhouse production of Enter, Screaming at the 2009 Ottawa Fringe Festival, and assistant director of Ottawa Little Theatre’s 2008 production of the Israel Horowitz drama My Old Lady. You may also recognize Dwayne from his weekly DVD-reviewing gig, Press Play with Zip.ca, which airs every Tuesday on A A-Channel’s morning show.
From Cash on Delivery:
DWAYNE AYLWARD (Norman McDonald) was last seen on the Kanata Theatre stage as "Cohen with a K" in The Underpants. Previous Kanata Theatre roles include Danny in Having a Wonderful Time, Wish You Were Her and Simon in Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun. Dwayne also produced this season’s Having Hope at Home and co-produced The Long Weekend. Other credits include acting in Enter, Screaming (Fringe Festival) and assistant directing My Old Lady (OLT). Dwayne is Kanata Theatre’s current Director of Publicity.
